Gregg Goodman

W. Gregg Goodman, 63, of Swansea, Ill., formerly of Mount Vernon, Ill., born July 11, 1951, in Carbondale, Ill., passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Gregg was the community bank president/commercial lending officer at the Bank of Springfield in Swansea, Ill. He graduated from the Mount Vernon High School in 1969. In 1975 he graduated from the Southern Illinois University, earning a bachelor's degree in finance. Gregg also played football for the Saluki's.

He was preceded in death by his father, P. William "Bill" Goodman.

Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer (Robbie) Wooldridge of Carbondale, Ill.; a son, Erick Brown of Collinsville, Ill.; a grandson, Holden Wooldridge of Carbondale, Ill.; his mother, Patricia, nee Bragg, Goodman of Carbondale, Ill.; a brother, Jeff (Phyllis) Goodman of Loveland, Ohio; two sisters, Laura (Janis) Goodman of Fort Myers, Fla., and Lynne (Paul) Harren of Marietta, Ga.; an aunt and two uncles, Rita and Richard Cannon and Michael Bragg; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
