Please remember to request a Withdrawal Card when you are leaving your job – even if your leave may be temporary. The WDC will benefit you if you are off for one full calendar month or longer. The WDC informs the local you are off work due to various reasons. The WDC informs the local to stop your monthly dues until you physically return to bargaining unit employment. There is NO CHARGE for a WDC, however a written request MUST be made along with all dues/fees PAID IN FULL prior to WDC being issues. The WDC does not change any rights or benefits you may/may not have under seniority, health and welfare or pension. Taking a withdrawal card may affect your eligibility to run for local union office or delegate/alternate in connection with attendance at IBT Convention.

It is your responsibility to obtain a WDC. Please request a WDC immediately after you are off work to avoid being obligated to pay extra dues/fees. Failure to obtain a WDC may cause you to pay back dues/fees and re-initiation fees upon your return to Teamster employment.
